Sustainability

Kinco is a corporate member of the United States Green Building Council, which governs LEED Certification. We also employ several LEED Accredited Professionals. With the growing demand for sustainable construction, Kinco recognizes that all resources used to produce products for our customers are derived from the planet’s natural environment.

Environmentally Friendly

Both the public and private sectors are asking for buildings that are environmentally friendly in, design, energy consumption, and in the way they are constructed. We acknowledge a link exists between a healthy, sustainable ecosystem and our growing need for building materials. We are also aware of the impact construction site activities can have on our immediate surroundings. Kinco is committed to reducing our impact on the environment, promoting sustainable business practices, and to incorporating “green” principles for all our projects, regardless of certification. These beliefs are deeply rooted in the fact that management at Kinco and the majority of its employees enjoy the outdoors and understand that our current actions impact the environment we leave behind for future generations.

LEED Accredited

Kinco is very proud to have managed and constructed LEED/sustainable projects totaling approximately $90 million, including the recently completed Culinary Arts & Hospitality Management Institute at Pulaski Technical College and the Marion Berry Renewable Energy Center at Mid-South Community College.
